Malaysia lost in the Pestabola Merdeka Final

(Picture from http://www.nst.com.my/)
I watched the Pestabola Merdeka final between Malaysia and Vietnal last night with my kid Hammad. He asked me almost all time to switch to channel 611 or 616, his favorite one, of course Ceria and Cartoon Network, but this time I refused. I want to be a part of the memorable match, the battle between my lovely country, Malaysia and the country that I born at, Vietnam.

Our team –of course Malaysia, until you don’t misunderstand- played very well and deserve to win. They conquer the game and have a dozen of chances, but in the football, you must score to win the game, the only thing that our men couldn’t do last night.

We didn’t score any goal, and neither the Vietnamese after 120 minutes.

When the game went to penalty shooter, the pressure was againt the national team, as they played too well in the actual game. The first ten players from both side did well and no mistake happen. Norhafiz Zamani Misbah, the sixth Malaysian player missed the first the suddent death, and Mai Tien Thanh scored to give Vietnam their first ever title of Pestabola Merdeka…
